Neuroscience Nurses are responsible for the coordination of care for patients who require neurological and neurosurgical nursing care, as well as coordination of care for patients who require surgical nursing care. The nursing scope of care for these patients includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions to promote safety, health, and comfort. This includes assessing patients' needs, providing preoperative and postoperative teaching, providing assistance with the administration of medications, monitoring patients' vital signs, and educating both patients and their families about neurological disorders.
