Diagnostic Radiology RNs are responsible for providing pre- and post-procedure patient care, assisting with diagnostic imaging and radiation procedures, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. Radiology Nurses are expected to work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals including physicians, radiology technicians, other nurses, and specialists. Diagnostic Radiology RNs assist with patient comfort and imaging accuracy during common exams including x-rays, computed tomography scans (CT scans), ultrasounds, and magnetic resonance imaging scans (MRIs).
