Travel Sleep Tech Jobs (Polysomnographer)

Sleep technicians are responsible for setting up and calibrating the equipment used in a polysomnographic study, monitoring the patient's sleep, and recording data. Throughout the sleep test, the sleep/polysomnographic tech monitors brain waves, eye movements, muscle activity, multiple breathing variables, and blood oxygen levels during sleep using specialized recording equipment. They also interpret the recording as it happens and respond appropriately to emergencies. They also work with patients before and after their sleep study to explain the study procedure and answer any questions.
